Description: Analytics is changing the role of the business professional by placing analytics at the heart of all business decisions. Therefore, students need to prepare for this changing role by developing an analytics mindset. What is this? An analytics mindset is the ability to: • Ask the right questions • Extract, transform and load relevant data (i.e., the ETL process) • Apply appropriate data analytics techniques • Interpret and share results with stakeholders. We offer a module that covers the introduction to the analytics mindset and a competency framework that outlines the competencies that support this mindset (a competency framework). We also offer a variety of presentations and cases as well that align with this framework to help develop these competencies in the classroom.
